ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE ERASMUS + PROGRAM
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OFFICE
Dear Students and members of the University Community
Following the announcements of the Ministry of Health regarding the suspension of educational units of all levels in the Prefectures of the country where there are appearing outbreaks and as the epidemiological data are constantly changing, the Rectorate of the University of Piraeus has decided the following preventive measures against the spread of Convid-19 transmission. :
- All incoming and outgoing mobilities of staff and students have been suspended from all countries for programs ERASMUS + KA 103, KA 107 and other actions within the program ERASMUS +, actions contained in Memoranda of Understanding ( MoU ) , RESEARCH figures programs since to 26th of April 2020.
- Scheduled transfers abroad of all faculty members of our Foundation to all countries are been suspended until April 26, 2020.
- All activities (conferences, conferences, symposia, events) of the Foundation are suspended until April 26 , 2020.
- The incoming students from the program ERASMUS + KA 103, KA 107 that are in the University of Piraeus, should follow the instructions given on the prevention of infection and mode of Piraeus University. If they wish to return to their countries of origin, they should first contact their Home University and then the Department of International and Public Relations of the University of Piraeus, , Ms Zoi Katsiri. Those that they wish to stay at the University of Piraeus, they will contact their academic coordinator who will provide them with specific information on how to conduct their courses.
Recommendations for the Safeguarding of the Public Health:
- It is recommended that the beneficiaries of the ERASMUS + program (faculty members, students, staff, etc.), who have been moved with the program to stay home for 14 days after they return.
- Contact Information of the IRO Office
The International Relations Office will serve the public only virtual (virtual) via email, skype, phone and not with physical presence.
- It is recommended that the Secretariats of the Departments and the Services of the Research Committee (financed by the Programs) to serve the students by telephone or by e-mail on all matters related to the ERASMUS + KA 103, KA 107 program.
- Where possible, it is recommended to avoid overcrowding and collaborations in other ways (telephone, Skype, email, etc.).
In case of contact with possible or confirmed affected cases:
In the case you have contact with people that they have symptoms confirmed or suspected, you should remain precautionally inside your home for 14 days.
If you start emerging any symptoms yourselves you should firstly stay home, avoid any contacts and if the symptoms are persisting then you should contact the NPHA(National Public Health Agency) in tel. 1135 and +210 5212000

In any case, it is recommended that you follow the official ESA guidelines, which are systematically updated ( https://eody.gov.gr/neos-koronaios-covid-19 ).
The compliance of all students, teachers and staff with the above guidelines and compliance with precautionary measures is essential to prevent further proliferation and to safeguard public health.
Actions that concern the University's overall suspension, as a measure to reduce the spread of coronavirus, are the sole responsibility of the National Public Health Organization (EHEA) and the Ministry of Education and Religions.
